Post 16 Student Visit Auschwitz

On Tuesday 10 October, four Year 13 students flew to Krakow, Poland for a one-day visit to Auschwitz. This annual trip is organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust.

On Wednesday 4th October 15 Year 9 students were taken to the 'Bring it on' event at Sunderland's Stadium of Light. It was an introduction to engineering, covering all aspects of engineering from civil engineering to robotic engineering.

GCSE Results 2017

Our students were celebrating opening their GCSE results this morning. 78% of the students achieved a grade 4 or above in the newly reformed GCSE maths and English courses – an improvement of 6% on the previous year.

Post 16 Success!

Staff and students at Macmillan Academy are celebrating another superb set of Post 16 results. Students achieved an all-time high of 25 A* grades and almost one in three A level grades was awarded either an A or A*.
